Super Eagles striker, Paul Onuachu has been offered to Liverpool by Genk technical director Dimitri de Conde.
Conde believes there is much that the Nigeria international can offer to the Reds, adding that he would have scored against 10-man Chelsea in the Premier League last weekend.
The 27-year-old Onuachu, who is currently on international duties with Nigeria, had an incredible 2020-21 season with Genk, scoring 35 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions.
Before moving to Belgium with Genk, Onuachu scored 74 goals in 181 appearances for Denmark side Midtjylland.
He is known for his goals, but also for his incredible physical presence, standing 6’7″ tall.
De Conde feels Onuachu could have helped Liverpool defeat Chelsea during their 1-1 draw before the international break
“Did you see Liverpool against Chelsea? Liverpool have the best strikers, but none with the same profile as Onuachu,” De Conde told Het Belang van Limburg.
“He would have scored against 10 men. I’m not saying that Paul would play 90 minutes every week in Liverpool, but a club like that could really use him.”
