    Liverpool Costs For Anfield Road Development 'Set To Rise By £20m'

    The cost of Liverpool's redevelopment of Anfield Road are expected to rise by as much as £20m, according to reports.

    Reds boss Jurgen Klopp was present at Anfield on Thursday to break ground on the construction works which will see the club able to further satisfy demand for tickets with an additional 7,000 seats as well as adding other potential revenue streams within the redeveloped stand.

    The work, which is expected to be finished in time for the 2023/24 Premier League season, was set to cost around £60m, but The Athletic report that costs could now rise as high as £80m due to changes to the design of the redevelopment and an increase in construction costs, with the work being carried out by Buckingham Group
