The Ogun State Coordinator of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Field Operation Department in the last general election,Nuberu Adesanya has given reasons for his aspiration to become the APC, Ogun State Chairman.
Com. Nuberu who is interested in taking over the seat from Chief Yemi Sanusi hails from Ago Iwoye in Ijebu North Local Government Area, Ogun East Senatorial district of the State.
Chief Sanusi First Awareness recalled hails from Odeda Local Government area of the State while the State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun is from Iperu Remo also from Ogun East Senatorial district of the state.
However,Nuberu instead that he want to contest for the party's chairmanship position to take Ogun APC to greater heights, and help foster more unity among members to ensure successes in future elections.
Speaking with newsmen on Tuesday to appeal for the blessings and supports of party leaders, chieftains and members towards the actualization of his dream, he said the issue was about the interest of the party and providing solid ground for future elections, adding that he has the requisite knowledge and experience to lead Ogun APC on the right path.
"I had always been a chance agent right from my primary school and I do not regret to be one. During my University education which by coincidence was the period of utter military repression and subjugation of the political right of the citizenry, I am happy to recount the very historical roles we played in the restoration of democratic and civil rule.
“This issue now is about the interest of our party in Ogun State and providing solid ground for success in future elections.
“I'm a committed and loyal party man. I have the knowledge, energy and strength to be the bridge builder and unite members to address any challenges.
”I have what it takes to lead and mobilise the needed forces across the length and breadth of Ogun State to forge greater unity within our party, make it more formidable and galvanise it for more successes," Nuberu stated.
Meanwhile,First Awareness brings to the notice of the readers that,the process to electing the State chairman of the party had already commenced. The election ought to have been held on October 2 but shifted to 16th October, this year.
