A media aide to one of the lawmakers in River State , Osaki Diri has been electrocuted to death.
Osaki was said to have been electrocuted on Thursday, 14 October in Port Harcourt, during a phone call while the mobile device was charging.
“He picked the call while it was charging and got electrocuted,” LIB quoted a source as saying. “His wife saw him and tried helping but the electric threw her away.”
According to LIB, some of his Friends on social media have paying tributes to the departed soul.
Hector Christopher Dokubo wrote on Facebook: “I have received many calls on the news of your sudden departure this morning [15 October]. My good friend Osaki Diri, I still find it hard to believe that you are no longer with us on this earth. What is our life's but a succession of preludes to that unknown song whose first solemn note is sounded by death?
“I never knew that we will never see and communicate again after the 5th of October. I never knew that 5 of October will be the last time we will shake each other, embrace ourselves, crack joke, smile at each other, snapped together, seat together and talk.
“Though nothing surprised me even when I am expecting nothing because that’s life. It pains me when young men die though I am not afraid to die even when I am careful. De Kofi Anna Sleep well šššš“ Dokubo was quoted to have remarked.
On his own,Gabriel Chimamaka Gift added: “OMG! Still in great shock. U just wedded on August na. U taught me music, oh… Y this time. Mtcheew RIP choirmaster"he stated
