Barely few weeks that two prominent monarchs in Ogun State passes on, another prominent monarch, Olu of Kobape in Obafemi Owode local government area of Ogun State, Oba Olufemi Allen-Taylor has joined his ancestors.
Announcing the passage of the monarch on Friday, former Ogun State governor, Aremo Olusegun Osoba who is also the Oluwo of Oba said he made the announcement following the approval from the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo.
"I have the approval of the Alake and Paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo to announce that the Olu of Kobape, Oba Olufemi Taylor has joined his ancestors"
He stated further that arrangements are ongoing for the continued administration of Kobape kingdom by the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo.
It could be recalled that during the month, two first class monarchs, the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Oba Adegboyega Dosunmu and the Oniwasinmi of Wasinmi also joined their ancestors.
The departed monarch retired as Assistant Comptroller General of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) before he ascended the throne of his forefathers.
