Abiodun Wins Ogun APC Governorship Primary, Pulls 1,168 Votes

...Expresses joy that,Ogun is changing the narratives of thuggery, violence and election boxes snatching.

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has won the All Progressive Congress  ( APC) Governorship Primary election conducted at the MKO Abiola Stadium,Kuto, Abeokuta on Thursday.

Abiodun secored a total votes of  One Thousand One Hundred and Sixty eight votes out of  One Thousand One Hundred and Eighty (1180) total accredited delegates for election  conducted by Chief Wale Ohu led electoral Panel.

Announcing the results after the orderly organized election, Chairman of the Committee,gave names of other Contestants to include,

 the former governorship candidate of the Allied People's Movement (APM) during the year 2019 guber contest in the state, Hon. Adekunle Akinlade; former Special Adviser to Abiodun on Media, Modele Sarafa - Yusuf, Chief Remilekun Bakare, Arc. Owodunni Opayemi and Barrister Biyi Otegbeye.

Giving details of the election results,the Committee Chairman said Prince Dapo Abiodun recorded 59 votes from Ipokia Local Government,50 votes from Yewa South,49 from Imeko/Afon LG,55 from Yewa North LG and  80 votes from Ado-Odo/Ota  LG.

In Abeokuta South,Prince Dapo Abiodun recorded 75 votes,in Abeokuta North,he secored 75 ,Odeda LG. 50 votes ,

In Ewekoro, Abiodun recorded a total votes of 50 ,in Obafemi/Owode 60 and in Ifo LG. he recorded 55 votes.

In Remo North LG,he said Abiodun secored 50,Odogbolu 75,Ikenne,50,Sagamu 75 and at Ijebuode he pulled 50 votes.

Describing the election as peaceful,free and fair in his acceptance speech,Prince Abiodun thanked election Panel for conducting a transparent election.

"I am proud today that in Ogun, we are slowly changing the narratives of thuggery, violence and election boxes snatching during election.

"Today's victory is not unexpected, because, I recalled that two weeks ago, some youths went to Abuja and bought the form for me. Also a week ago, some group paid me the amount worth of the APC governorship election form.

"If you recall, when we assumed office, we promised to be fair, accountable, equitable and also obey the rules of the law. And for the past three years, we have kept these promises. 

"Today, I am very proud of the   landslide victory. I now promise again to keep doing what we have been doing in the past. We will not rest on our oars.

"I am assuring that, I am not the governor of APC alone, but governor of the entire Ogun State. Those who voted for me and those who did not. And for those who differed from what we are doing, I urge them not to criticize for critizising sake, but base their critisms on issues.

"As for us, we will remain unperturbed, unwavering and unshaken. The journey of another four years has just started.I thanked you all Prince Dapo Abiodun concluded his acceptance speech".
